The Path of Chaos was a dark and subversive creed, followed by barbarians who reveled in ultra-violence and rejected every notion of law, order, or even the sanctity of life itself. These savage warriors viewed the world as a brutal, merciless arena where the strong lived by instinct alone. To them, life held no intrinsic worth; they saw existence through the eyes of a predator, but unlike wild beasts who killed for survival, Chaos Barbarians killed purely to satiate an insatiable hunger for bloodshed.
Evil as an Instinct
Chaos Barbarians harbored a seething, primal rage that bubbled beneath their skin, waiting to erupt in brutal displays of raw, unforgiving aggression. They weren’t evil in the sense of spreading corruption for power’s sake; their malice was far more elemental, driven by a deeply embedded instinct to destroy. In the presence of a Chaos Barbarian, no creature or person was safe from violent death. Their attacks were fueled not by malice or purpose but by an almost sacred drive to tear life apart with ferocity unrivaled by other warriors.

These barbarians sought out conflicts, reveling in the chaos they created, with no care for innocence or guilt. They could just as easily slaughter a helpless elder as they could a feral beast or powerful warlord. Violence, for them, was a solution to all disputes, and their notorious reputation was built on the countless lives they took purely for fleeting moments of visceral pleasure, a high they sought again and again.
The Fleshtribes of Malrunê
The Fleshtribes were the embodiment of the Path of Chaos, an ultra-violent faction that thrived in the lawless Wildlands. Concentrated in the bloodstained regions of Hauth and Blackwarg, they were a loose confederation of brutal clans who followed Chaos with an almost religious fervor. Many were cannibals, believing that consuming the flesh of their enemies imparted strength and allowed them to carry the spirits of their victims within. They wore necklaces of bones, painted themselves in the blood of foes, and wielded weapons soaked in dark rituals.
Members of the Fleshtribes bore deep scars as marks of loyalty, proudly showcasing the remnants of past battles on their bodies. Some smeared ash into their wounds to form permanent symbols of death and chaos, carrying an aura of death that even seasoned warriors avoided. Though primarily rooted in Hauth and Blackwarg, whispers told of Fleshtribe warbands appearing in far-off lands, spreading carnage and leaving a trail of horror in their wake.
The Path of Chaos, embodied by the Fleshtribes, was a path devoid of morality, forged in the flames of violence and bloodshed, honoring nothing but the relentless call to kill.
