The Fleshtribes of Malrunê were a profoundly dark faction of cannibalistic warriors who possessed primal instincts for ultra-violence. The faction was composed mostly of savage barbarians who outright rejected the established ruling bodies of the Wildlands. The group would openly call for the killing of kings, heads of state, noble families and even queens.
These Fleshtribes originated from the region known as Melrunê located in central Hauth. This area consisted of dry, desolate plains and was home to some of the most dangerous creatures on the continent, including Giant Vipers, Bonereapers, Wasteland Giants and Infernal Minotaurs.

In the savage land of Hauth, where no law but might rules, the most feared name is that of the Fleshtribes. These bloodthirsty, cannibalistic barbarians have ravaged the rogue nation state for centuries, bound together by their shared hatred of civilization and their belief that only death and destruction can cleanse the world of weakness. They reject all forms of organized power, viewing kings, emperors, and councils as corrupt forces that enslave the strong. Instead, the Fleshtribes roam the wilderness, spreading chaos under the iron-fisted rule of their warlord, Uther, the King of War.
Nordisa Humans
Overall, the tribe held followers of different races, however, the most common and most passionate were dark-minded Nordisa humans who followed the Path of Chaos.
Path of Chaos
The Path of Chaos was a grim, fatalistic cult-like barbarian path that took great pleasure in eliminating life. Those who followed the path did not discriminate against their victims. They could kill anyone for any reason, good, evil, holy, young and old alike. Every living creature fears those who follow Chaos.
Fleshtribe Hordes
Those in the Fleshtribe often lived and travelled in hordes of 10 to 20 barbarians and a shaman, but it was known that some had 100 or more tribal members. These hordes were nomadic. They lived off the beasts of the lands and were known to raid villages and spread fear to all those who encountered them.
Training Beasts and Infernal Minotaurs
What made the Fleshtribes truly terrifying was not only their savage fighting skills but also their mastery over the natural and supernatural. The barbarians of Hauth had long lived alongside the wild beasts of the land, but the Fleshtribes took it a step further. They became expert beast-tamers, using cruelty and dark magic to break the will of feral wolves, bears, winged beasts and particularly, Minotaurs. Their shamans, known as Fleshweavers, performed blood rituals to bend the minds of these creatures, turning them into ferocious war-beasts.
However, the true terror of the Fleshtribes came from their alliance with infernal forces. Legends speak of Uther making a pact with the ancient demons that slumbered within the lands of the underworld, Mophedus, offering the souls of his enemies in exchange for power. From this bargain came the infernal minotaurs—hulking, demonic beasts with horns of flame and eyes that burned with hellfire. These creatures, half-demon and half-beast, were bound to the Fleshtribes by blood magic, their strength fueling the horde’s conquests.
Hauth & the Blackwarg
Hauth was considered the origin homeland of the Fleshtribes. These hordes were found mostly in the central region of the nation but could also be found in the far north and around its borders. There were also smaller hordes found in remote, desolate regions of the Blackwarg. It was rare to find the tribe outside of Hauth and the Blackwarg, although they did travel beyond these borders from time to time.
Uthor, King of War
Uthor was a notorious warlord and was considered the leader of the Fleshtribe faction. Some within the tribes revered him as a God, while others saw him only as a battle lord who led the largest hordes across Hauth.
Uthor was a tall, heavily-muscled Nordisa human with dark hair and a brooding temperament. He was one of the few Fleshtribe members to practice druid magic and he was able to organize tribal members into structured war groups. He believed all men should live free of rulers, and like most of the tribe’s members, he rejected any and all decree set forth by lords, kings and the nation states.
History
Origins of the Fleshtribe
The Fleshtribes were born in an era of chaos, when the scattered barbarian clans of Hauth were locked in endless war with one another. The land was a lawless frontier where life was brutish and short, and the clans fought over dwindling resources. Cannibalism became a necessary means of survival, and soon it evolved into something more—a symbol of power and dominance. Eating the flesh of their enemies was believed to grant strength and courage, and the most savage clans began to rise in prominence.
It was from this blood-soaked origin that the Fleshtribes emerged. United by their hunger for violence and their hatred of civilization, the tribes were brought together by Uther, a towering barbarian whose brutality was unmatched. Uther, known as “the King of War,” for his utter lack of mercy or compassion, carved his way to leadership through bloodshed. His philosophy was simple: The world is a battlefield, and only the strongest are fit to survive. Under Uther’s banner, the Fleshtribes became a single entity, a horde with one purpose—to tear down the walls of civilization and bathe in the blood of their enemies.
Endless Conquest
Under Uther’s command, the Fleshtribes waged an endless war against the kingdoms and city-states of Hauth. No fortress could withstand their assault, for their beasts tore down walls, and their infernal minotaurs crushed armies beneath their hooves. Uther led his warbands personally, often fighting at the front, a massive greatsword in hand, drenched in the blood of his enemies.
Where the Fleshtribes went, only desolation remained. They slaughtered entire villages, devoured their enemies, and burned everything else to the ground. They did not seek to conquer land but to destroy all signs of order. For Uther, this was the path to true strength—only when all nations had crumbled would the strong rise above.
The Fleshtribes were the greatest threat to the nation of Hauth and beyond. While the kings and lords of Hauth fought amongst themselves, Uther and his Fleshtribes marched ever forward, their bloodlust unquenched, their beasts and demons at their side, and the fall of civilization their only goal.
