A Lupine (pronounced lou-peen) werewolf is a the hybrid form of a wolf and a Woodslin gor. The human lycans and Woodslin gor lycans are the only known creatures in the Wildlands to inherit lycanthropy. Within context of the Woodslin gor population, very few are known to be lycans. The few that are lycans always shape change into this intimidating and powerful monstrosity.

Description

When in their true Woodslin gor form, these creatures have no physical differences from common, non-lycan Woodslin gors. However, when in their Lupine werewolf-gor hybrid form they do have distinct differences when compared to human-werewolf lycans. The hybrid wolf/gor form of a Woodslin gor lycan typically stands over 8 ft. tall. and possess great strength and a potential for very violent aggression. Its fur is a grey-blue color and its eyes are illuminated with either gold or blue. In addition, when in hybrid form, the horns on their head transformed into large, pointed, horn-like appendages that sprouted from its forearms and elbows.

History

In historical terms, when, how and why these Woodslin gors have become lupine lycans is not fully understood.

Written history of this rare humanoid dates back over 1,000 years, although the lore is not specific as to its true origins. The gors themselves tell tales of a mysterious, ancient gor bard who arrived in the region of west T’ssara during the first reign of the gor Kings. He became the personal minstrel of King Fenross. Allegedly, this gor never gave his real name to anyone, however, Fenross referred to him as the  “Face of the Moon.” In gor lore it is said that this minstrel originated from the moon itself, and on certain nights its face can be seen on its surface.
