The Flesh Stealer was a rare, intelligent abomination. They possessed unique abilities to rend flesh from their victims bodies while they were still alive. The Flesh Stealer would then use the rended flesh in different ways including eating it and using it to cover exposed muscle, tendons and organs on its own body.
Description
Upon first sight, one might think the Flesh Stealer was undead. However, they were living beings. They were wicked and foul monsters that struck fear into those who were unfortunate enough to encounter them. They were of human size and physically appeared much like humans with the glaring exception of their large, yellow fangs and their lack of skin, which was partially or entirely deteriorated, exposing their many muscles and tendons.
Flesh Stealers would use the flesh of others to attach to their own skinless bodies, which the flesh stealer would wear as a type of macabre souvenir. They could easily rip large strips of flesh from the still living bodies of their victims.
Intelligence & Spell Craft
Flesh Stealers were very intelligent and many were high level magic users. Although they knew fewer spells than sorcerers, the magic they did use was powerful and deadly.

Habitat
Flesh Stealers, while very rare creatures, were know to dwell in different regions with the exception of cold climates, which they avoided. However, they were most common in temperate climates. They typically dwelled in fortresses in which they stole from adversaries they would kill, or in ruined castles, gothic manors or subterranean dwellings. Most would decorate their dwellings with all black furnishing, including black tapestries, ornaments, furniture, and blackened wood used upon the walls and floor.
