Black Slime Giants were tall, hideous, disgusting, flesh-eating giants that dwelled in different regions of the Wildands.

These unusual, grotesque monsters grew up to 13 ft. They typically had dark green and grey skin. Unlike the more common troll, these trolls produced a corrosive black slime that spewed from their mouth and part of their body.

Black Slime Giants lived either in small groups, which was rare, or lived their lives alone wandering through caverns and the countryside seeking fresh bodies to rend and consume. They lacked intelligence and were only able to use their claws and biting ability in combat. However, some were known to use clubs that were either taken from a fallen tree or were in the form of a large bone taken from one of their victims.

Tar Pits

Black Slime Giants often lived near tar pits. As a means of obscuring themselves in wooded areas, they were known to cover parts of their bodies in tar, then covering the sticky tar with dirt, leaves and other forest debris. Some Black Slime Giants would even submerge themselves in tar pits, leaving only their heads above the surface in order to surprise attack those near the edge of these pits.
