The Cabros Brute were a fearsome subrace of the broader Cabros race, originating from the vast, murky expanses of marshlands. Like their more sophisticated kin, the Cabros Brute had a massive head with a distinct crocodilian appearance, their broad, powerful jaws capable of shearing through bone with ease. Standing as tall as an average human but much more imposing due to their heavily muscled physiques, the Cabros Brute were renowned for their raw power and unrivaled ferocity on the battlefield.
These brutish creatures were not known for their intelligence. Unlike the main Cabros, they lacked the capacity to organize themselves into complex societies or exhibit much strategic thinking. Instead, they instinctively gathered in groups known as “basks,” where they lived and trained under the direction of higher-ranking Cabros. In Cabros war clans, the Brutes were the fearsome frontline warriors, acting as shock troops that overwhelmed enemies with sheer brute force and an unyielding, fearless assault.
The Cabros Brute were naturally equipped for war, with thick, leathery skin that came in shades of grey, black, and pale green, providing both camouflage in their marshy homelands and added resilience in battle. Their formidable strength allowed them to wield massive, two-handed weapons with ease, making them especially deadly in close-quarters combat.
Though their minds were limited, the Brutes were adept at one thing—combat. To further enhance their might on the battlefield, they rode into battle atop Tyranox, powerful beasts of burden bred for war. The sight of a Cabros Brute charging into the fray on the back of a Tyranox was a terrifying spectacle, with enemies often crushed or torn apart in the onslaught. For the Cabros race, the Brutes were indispensable tools of war, serving as living battering rams in their endless conquests.
