Description

Fyreburhl possessed a striking appearance with reddish-brown skin and vibrant amber eyes that seemed to glow with an inner fire. Their hair was typically shades of dark brown or auburn, and their physiques varied from slender and agile to strong and muscular. These traits not only made them distinctive but also well-suited to their mountainous, forested homelands. Standing at an average humanoid height, their presence was powerful and grounded, mirroring the nature they so revered.

Druidic

Steeped in ancient druidic traditions, the Fyreburhl worshiped a pantheon of pagan gods, each representing elements of nature. They practiced nature magic—small, potent spells and incantations drawn directly from the natural world. Most of their spells were cantrips, simple yet effective manifestations of nature’s energy, allowing them to mend plants, call forth brief rains, or sense the passage of animals. Woodslin Folken

The fyreburhl had a long and controversial history with the Woodslin Folken, plantanoid creatures that also dwelled in the deeper, denser regions of large forests. Plantanoids were part humanoid, part plant. Their relations over the centuries has been mixed, with some factions of fyreburhl engaging in all out war with the self-centered plantanoids.

Mahzora

Mahzora, the largest Fyreburhl city, was built within the side of the Coppermist Mountains in western Zor. At its heart stood the Hearthcrest, an awe-inspiring fortress capable of generating heat for the entire city and its surrounding villages. Constructed over a rare volcanic bed, the tower tapped into the lava flows beneath, channeling their warmth through a complex system of heat ducts crafted from stone. These ducts carried warmth throughout the city and into the nearby hamlets, making the harsh winters of the Coppermist region surprisingly comfortable.

The creation of the Hearthcrest’s heat ducts marked one of the Fyreburhl’s greatest engineering achievements. While other regions struggled against the biting cold, Mahzora’s residents enjoyed a warm sanctuary all year round, their homes and temples comfortable even in the depths of winter.
